First Term Trump...

An old friend asked if Trump was going to "tear the roof off the sucker" in DC; or will Trump will be "more Presidential" or more "Trumporial," now that he's actually been elected and what to expect:

Depends on who you ask. CNN/Far left says they expect goose stepping gestapo troops any day now and non-compliant media imprisoned by day 365. TO them, DC is already missing every ceiling EXCEPT the glass ones--

Ironically, they are the only folks I know that intentionally use Scotty's formula (of Star Trek original movie) for aluminum glass--then throw their people against it to attempt to break it. Even nominal Republican women have been breaking through normal glass ceilings for a couple decades.

Far right is going to grump some if Romney gets SecofState or Hillary is not in an orange jumpsuit and handcuffs at day 101. Not to worry, they won't start burning cities; they'll just complain, keep working, pay their bills and start building a viable third party for next election.

Us middle Trumps, expect to see Trump do what works in the first 100 days. No women will lose their free birth control. A lot of Obama Executive Orders are going to die in those 100 days.

And, thanks to Harry Reid's willingness and great foresight, he changed Senate rules to pass Obama care with 51 votes. That leaves the exit doors open to undo any law except senate confirmation--with 51 votes.

When Trump sees something NOT going well, he'll make changes toward fixing or desisting. That was the attracting difference to me with Trump.

When Clinton/Obama see something NOT going well their solutions are: More money (too big to fail bailouts/infrastructures that don't get built--but got funded), more deceit ("like doc, keep doc"/ video killed 4 Americans, not planned terrorist attack) or more speed (stampede protesters into rioters--never let a good disaster/misfortune go unpoliticized.

I'm very willing to give Trump 2-3 years before SEEKING a third party; Obama had 8 years and he NEVER pleasantly surprised me once--he did EXACTLY what I expected.

If Trump does what I expect, here's what will happen:

--There will be a managed border to get into the USA to our south within 4 years. I lived in Europe long before there was a need for BREXIT; borders were then and are NOW important.
Felons will be out on the first bus starting in Jan 2018.

--Obamacare will be exorcized over the next two years but, people who can't get insurance will get taken care of better than an Obama care ever could have--without bankrupting us into single payer healthcare.

--Trumps American trade and energy SYNERGY policy is going to bring back American manufacturing to both urban and rural areas.
PEOPLE WHO WANT WORK FILL FIND IT.
Capable people who refuse to work will find it less profitable than working.

--Terrorists are in for a change in policy. Trump will not advertise his intentions, but they are very likely to experience those intentions first hand--once and for all.

--School choice is gonna BEGIN TO happen beginning in 2018;
I've been in public K-12 & higher ed for the last 16 years; I've taught in the classroom, administrated multiple school divisions and now strategically plan technology for higher ed.

I know first hand that there are a lot of great teachers/faculty in that world, and they are doing EVERYTHING possible for their students--BUT they CAN'T FIX WHAT IS BROKEN from within and more money won't fix it either. (2014 Census states Utah spends about $5k/yr/student and NY about $20k/yr/student--even adjusting for very high rent doesn't make those numbers work.)
